About Alexander Mattison
Alexander Mattison is an NFL running back for the Miami Dolphins. Hailing from San Bernardino, California, he played college football at Boise State, where he rushed for 2,829 yards and 33 touchdowns over three seasons, earning the Mountain West rushing title in 2018. Drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round (102nd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft, Mattison spent five seasons with the Vikings (2019-2023), primarily as a backup to Dalvin Cook before becoming the starter in 2023. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024 and then joined the Miami Dolphins in March 2025 on a one-year contract.
In his six-year NFL career, Mattison has played 89 games (32 starts) with 716 carries for 2,790 rushing yards (3.9 yards per carry), 11 rushing touchdowns, and 136 receptions for 1,012 yards with six receiving touchdowns. Mattison is a Christian active in community work, such as Make-A-Wish and his "IAM GIFTED" football camp.
