About Aaron Leanhardt
Aaron Leanhardt is a former physicist turned baseball coach and innovator. He is currently the field coordinator for the Miami Marlins. Earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Leanhardt was famously made prominent as the developer of the revolutionary “torpedo bat,” which took Major League Baseball by storm when the New York Yankees hit a record-tying 15 home runs in their first three games to open the 2025 season.
