Wrestling Great BIll Goldberg Gets Set for Release of New Film "Check Point"

Wrestling legend Bill Goldberg is continuing his entertainment career with a new film.  Goldberg is starring in “Check Point”, which will be released on Memorial Day.

The plotline involves a vagrant finding a sleeper terrorist cell in a small town.  Goldberg is playing T.J. in the action film.

Goldberg told Channel Guide Magazine the plotline of the film fits right into modern day events.

“The character, the timing of the plot, the timing of the subject matter couldn’t be on point as we are seeing right now,” Goldberg said.

Check Point is not Goldberg’s only project in the fire.  He is working on a car show with History Channel and has four other scripts currently under consideration.

Goldberg built a name that resonates worldwide from his time with World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.  He won both the WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Championships.

While he had a relatively short career in the ring, no one was more popular than Goldberg during his peak.  He was frequently a pay-per-view headliner and had a 173-0 undefeated streak in WCW from 1997 to 1998.

In addition to his various film roles, Goldberg keeps busy.  He hosts a podcast, does work as an animal welfare advocate, and makes frequent visits to U.S. troops abroad.
