Virginia Tech football coach Justin Fuente made quite the impression in his first season. He has been invited to talk about his team's success as a speaker at the 72nd annual Norfolk Sports Club Jamboree. 

The event takes place on March 22nd at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott. It begins at 6 p.m. that evening and top players and coaches from around the state will be honored. 

Individual tickets are $85 and tables of ten cost $800. It should be a fantastic evening to hear from one of the top rising coaches in college football. 

Fuente led the Hokies to a 10-4 record and an Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division title in year one. Virginia Tech capped their season with an impressive 35-24 comeback victory over Arkansas in the Belk Bowl. 

For his tremendous efforts leading Virginia Tech, Fuente was named 2016 ACC Coach of the Year. Prior to arriving in Blacksburg, he injected life into the Memphis football program and led the Tigers to back-to-back nine-win seasons. 

Fuente rose through the coaching ranks during five seasons on the staff at TCU. He started his coaching career at Illinois State in 2001 after time as a college quarterback at Oklahoma and Murray State.
