Three-Time World Series Champion Bruce Bochy Speaks at Richmond Flying Squirrels Banquet

At the beginning of the month, San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy paid a visit to the Richmond Flying Squirrels. On February 2nd, he spoke at their 7th Annual Charity Hot Stove Banquet. 

The event at the Siegel Center was presented by the Performance Food Group. Festivities began at 4:30 p.m. with a VIP reception. 

An autograph session and silent auction started at 6 p.m. followed by the 7 p.m. dinner. Proceeds benefit the Flying Squirrels Charities and Renovating Richmond's Recreation Project. 

Bochy has won three World Series titles with the Giants. He currently ranks 15th all-time and tops among all active managers with 1,789 wins. 

Before arriving in San Francisco, Bochy spent 12 seasons as the Padres manager and racked up a franchise-record 951 victories. San Diego made a World Series appearance under his watch in 1998. 

Bochy had a nine-year major league playing career. He spent the last five seasons of his playing career with the Padres before joining the organization as a coach.
