Tennis Icon Roger Federer Signs Endorsement Deal with Barilla Group

Even at 35-years-old, Roger Federer remains on top of his tennis game. He continues to be one of the most marketable athletes in the world as well. 

Federer's latest endorsement deal comes via the world's largest pasta company, Barilla Group. The partnership is expected to extend beyond his playing career. 

Barilla hopes Federer can promote their pasta and sauces while also touting their products health advantages. They have long been a player in the tennis space, having had prior deals with standouts like Steffi Graf and Stefan Edberg

This January, Federer won his record-extending 18th Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open. He followed the victory up with ATP Tour wins at Indian Wells and Miami. 

Federer found himself in the top ten of the ATP rankings from October 2002 to November 2016. He is currently ranked fourth in the world and has spent a record 302 weeks in his career at number one. 

Federer has an Olympic gold medal in doubles and a silver from singles competition. He won the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year award four consecutive years from 2005-08.
