TaylorMade Agrees to Equipment Deal with 14-Time Major Winner Tiger Woods

14-time major winner Tiger Woods is playing a new set of clubs on his comeback tour. After Nike folded their golf business, many were forced to find new equipment.

While Woods will still be strongly identified with Nike, he will also be working with TaylorMade. He began playing the clubs this past weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open.

As part of the deal, Woods is co-creating a set of TaylorMade irons. Before his move to Nike, he played TaylorMade in several amateur and professional events.

Woods 14 majors and 79 wins on the PGA Tour rank second all-time. He has been ranked number one in the world over 500 weeks and had been the leading money winner on tour a record ten times.

After being a golf prodigy as an amateur, Woods stormed onto the scene by winning the 1997 Masters by a record 12 strokes. After his win at the 2001 Masters, he became the first player to hold all four majors at one time.

Woods is an 11-time PGA Tour Player of the Year. He is credited with growing the game of golf and creating an entirely new business model for all professionals.
