Steve Smith Hosts Youth Football Camp for Kids from Military Families

As part of a Proctor & Gamble contest, several notable NFL players are holding youth camps on military bases this offseason.  Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith got his opportunity to do so June 23-24 at the Eglin Youth Center in the Florida panhandle.

Smith was on hand to help instruct 150 campers from first through eighth grade.  Kids also got a camp shirt and autograph from Smith.

Even late into his NFL career, Smith has remained a productive force.  In his first season for the Ravens last year, he caught 79 passes for 1,065 yards and six touchdowns.

For this first 13 years of his career, Smith was an institution with the Carolina Panthers.  He was a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro with the Panthers.

Smith also holds virtually every Carolina receiving record and is the current NFL active leader in all-purpose yards.  In his fourth playoff trip last season, he became just the 13th player to accumulate over 1,000 receiving yards for a career in the postseason.
