Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell Headlines Panel at Sport and Society Conference

This week, The Sports and Society Conference is taking place at St.  Norbert College.  On Wednesday, ESPN reporter Darren Rovell will take part in a panel discussion as part of the event. 

From 9:30-11 a.m., Rovell headlines a panel with the talk titled "Academics and Athletics: The Student-Athlete Experience".  The conference is taking place at the Green Bay Packers Lambeau Field in the Legends Room.

The session involving Rovell is free and  open to the public.  In addition to Rovell's talk, there are two other free events, including the opening address from former Wisconsin head coach and current athletic director Barry Alvarez

Rovell is in his second stint as a sports business reporter at ESPN.  He previously was at the network from 2000-06 and has become a popular go-to voice when it comes to breaking down the multibillion dollar indstry of sports.  

In between his stops at ESPN, Rovell filled a similar capacity at CNBC.  At that network, he also hosted the show "CNBC SportsBiz: Game On". 

Rovell appears now on a variety of platforms, including ABC News.  His Twitter account @darrenrovell is a widely popular go-to place for the latest breaking sports business news as well.
