Retired Virginia Tech Coach Frank Beamer Named Keynote Speaker at the Michigan Coaches Clinic

Upon his return to the college game, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh's coaching clinic became a popular destination to learn some tools of the trade and network.  Harbaugh has another star-studded group coming in to speak and teach this spring.

Recently retired former Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer will be the keynote speaker at the Michigan Football Coaches' Clinic March 10-12 in Ann Arbor.  Registration costs $65 before February 1st and $75 after it.

Nearly 1,000 coaches have already signed up to attend.  They will undoubtedly learn from the years of expertise that Beamer can draw off of.

Beamer coached the Hokies starting in 1987 and racked up a 238-121-2 record at the school.  The program won four ACC titles and three Big East championships under his watch.

Virginia Tech was the model of consistency under Beamer, going to 23 straight bowl games. Seven of his teams finished the year in the final top 25 rankings.

"Beamer Ball": became the embodiment of his teams that scored not only on offense, but also put points on the board with the defense and special teams units.  He still works at Virginia Tech as a special assistant to the athletic director.
