New York GIants Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall Speaks at UFC Athlete Retreat

New New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been very public about his mental health battles. He was able to speak about his experiences last month at the UFC Athlete Retreat in Las Vegas.

In addition to discussing his struggles, Marshall also shared advice for how to stay on top with mental health. Other speakers at the retreat included Kobe Bryant and Michael Strahan

WME-IMG sent invites to all fighters on the roster and paid for travel costs. The weekend also gave fighters the opportunity to tour the new UFC headquarters.

Marshall has been a six-time Pro Bowler and is one of the best wide receivers of his era. The Denver Broncos originally selected him in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

Marshall spent his first four seasons with the Broncos before joining the Miami Dolphins for two seasons. In 2012, he was named a first-team All-Pro with the Chicago Bears.

After being dealt to the New York Jets in 2015, Marshall was the NFL's co-leader in receiving touchdowns and was named a second-team All-Pro. Off the field, he is a correspondent for Showtime's Inside the NFL
