New Hall of Famer Mike Piazza Holds Autograph Signing Saturday at National Sports Collectors Convention

Tomorrow, newly-minted Hall of Famer Mike Piazza is making one of his first public appearances since being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.  He will be signing autographs at the National Sports Collectors Convention.

The show is being held at the Atlantic City Convention Center in New Jersey.  Piazza is one of over 25 Baseball Hall of Famers in attendance across the five days.

HIs signing will take place at noon and an autograph on a regular item costs $190.  There are several other price points for the signing and photo opportunities also cost $190.

Piazza had a 16-year career and is best known for his time with the Los Angles Dodgers and New York Mets.  He defied the odds as a 62nd round pick of the Dodgers in 1988 to become one of the greatest catchers of all-time.

Piazza was a 12-time All-Star and won ten Silver Slugger awards.  He slugged 427 home runs and a record 396 as a catcher.

In 1998, Piazza finished as a runner-up for the National League Most Valuable Player award.  His number is retired by the Mets and he is a member of the team's Hall of Fame.
