Los Angeles Dodgers Pitching Coach Rick Honeycutt Speaks at Chattanooga QB Club

This afternoon, the Chattanooga Quarterback Club brought in a former local sports star to speak. Los Angeles Dodgers pitching coach Rick Honeycutt spoke at a lunch at Finley Stadium. 

The noon event was open to the public. It cost $10 with lunch and $4 without lunch to hear from Honeycutt. 

Honeycutt played youth baseball in north Georgia before attending the University of Tennessee. He would go on to a 21-year career as a starter and reliever in Major League Baseball. 

On two occasions, Honeycutt was named an All-Star. He originally made his debut with the Seattle Mariners in 1977 and pitched for five other franchises during his career. 

Honeycutt had a successful run with the Oakland A's and helped them win the World Series in 1989. Overall, he pitched in 30 playoff games and seven World Series contests. 

Honeycutt started in coaching as the minor league pitching coordinator for the Dodgers. Since 2006, he has been the pitching coach for the major league team.
