Longtime College Football Coach BIll Curry Keynotes Boys & Girls Club Dinner March 1st

Longtime college football coach Bill Curry built much of his legacy in the state of Georgia. He will be speaking in-state in Dalton on March 1st. 

Curry is the keynote speaker for the Boys & Girls Club Stake Dinner and it will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Crosspointe Christian Centre. He will share a message about the pain of discipline and the pain of regret. 

The chapter serves Chattooga, Gordon, Murray, and Whitfield counties. Tickets and sponsorship packages that range in price from $1,250-$11,000. 

Curry played college football at Georgia Tech and had a ten-year career in the NFL. He got his first head coaching opportunity at his alma mater in 1980. 

Curry led the Yellow Jackets to a 9-2-1 record in 1985 and was named ACC Coach of the Year. He went on to lead Alabama to one SEC championship and was a two-time Coach of the Year in the conference. 

Curry also spent seven seasons as the head coach at Kentucky and started the program at Georgia State. He is a member of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
