Jacksonville Jaguars Wide Receiver Allen Robinson Becomes an Uber Driver

This week some lucky Jacksonville Jaguars fans may have gotten a surprise along their normal Uber route.  Breakout second year wide receiver Allen Robinson became a driver for a day on Tuesday.

From 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Robinson drove passengers around downtown Jacksonville.  Some riders during lunch even got the ride for free as part of the promotion.

Fans could even try to hail a ride from Robinson by choosing “Allen” in their Uber app.  New riders were able to sign up for the service and get $20 off their first trip by entering the promo code, “GOJAGS”.

Amidst a glitzy 2014 wide receiver class, Robinson is currently the most productive second year pass catcher.  His 330 yards on 15 catches through four weeks pace the field.

Robinson has steadily become a favorite target of quarterback Blake Bortles’ since being a second round pick of the Jaguars out of Penn State.  He caught his first career touchdown in Jacksonville’s first 2014 win against the Cleveland Browns in week seven.

In his final season with the Nittany Lions, Robinson was a consensus All-American and earned this second All-Big 10 first team selection.  He is originally a Detroit, Michigan native who attended St. Mary’s Preparatory High School.
