Four-Time MLB All-Star Mike Trout Debuts Signature Smart Bat

With Spring Training up and running, several players are testing out new equipment across the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues.  Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout is locked in to a new smart bat.

Trout is the first player to have his own signature smart bat.  He is testing the bat out this spring in Tempe that has a Zepp Labs sensor in the bottom.

Zepp has also teamed with Old Hickory Bat Company to make the "Mike Trout Old Hickory Smart Bat".  The sensor can analyze Trout's swing from 1,000 data points and give five real-time metrics on his performance.

Trout is a four-time All-Star and Silver Slugger winner in his short career in baseball.  In 2014, he won the American League MVP Award and he has placed second in the balloting in his three other big league seasons.

Remarkably, Trout has finished first or second among MLB players in wins above replacement all four years of his career.  Last season, he became the youngest player to accumulate 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases.

Trout is also the defending back-to-back MVP of the All-Star game.  The Angels originally selected him 25th overall in the 2009 MLB Draft.
