Former Track Star Joetta Clark Diggs Keynotes YWCA Bethlehem Celebration August 17th

YWCA Bethlehem is bringing an Olympic great in for their the 90th-anniversary celebration. Joetta Clark Diggs will be the keynote speaker at the event on August 17th. 

Festivities begin at 11:30 a.m. at Saucon Valley Country Club. In addition to Clark Diggs' presentation, the chapter will present three awards and welcome four new board members. 

Individual tickets are $90. Tables of eight are $630 and a special Contributor Sponsorship is $250.

Clark Diggs had one of the longest careers in international track and field history. She competed in four Olympic games and was active as a middle distance runner for 28 years. 

Clark Diggs won 11 U.S. National Championships and a bronze medal in the 800 m at the 1993 World Indoor Championships. At the 2000 Olympics, she was named captain and became the fifth oldest all-time member of the Olympic track team. 

In 2009, Clark Diggs was inducted into the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame. She is also a member of the University of Tennessee's Hall of Fame after winning nine NCAA titles over her college career.
