Former NFL Running Back Warrick Dunn Speaks at Live2Lead Next Month

Several leaders from different industries are coming together to impart leadership lessons on the local community in Killeen, Texas. The Live2Lead leadership symposium takes place on January 24th. 

One of the speakers is from the world of sports, former NFL running back Warrick Dunn. The event is being put on by the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and Jim Crothers of Temple. 

It lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harker Heights Activities Center in the Stewart C. Meyer Public Library. Individual tickets are $40 and tables of eight are $300. 

Dunn split his 12 NFL seasons between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons. The Buccaneers made him the 12th overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft and he had an immediate impact. 

Dunn collected over 1,000 yards of total offense during his first season, was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and made the Pro Bowl. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl in 2000 and 2005. 

Dunn rushed for 10,967 yards and 49 touchdowns in his career. He was also noted for being one of the most philanthropic athletes of his era and was selected as the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2004.
