Former Marathon Star Bill Rodgers Holds Book Signing at Massachusetts Race Sunday

Marathoner Bill Rodgers still stays active in the running community.  This Sunday, he will be signing books at the Run for Faith at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts.  

Rodgers will be signing copies of his book, "Marathon Man: My 26.2 Mile Journey from Grad Student to Top of the World".  The Run for Faith helps raise money for ovarian cancer research. 

The books will be on sale for $28 at the race.  There will also be posters of Rodgers winning the 1979 Boston Marathon on sale for the signing for $20. 

Rodgers won four Boston Marathons and four New York City Marathons.  He is a former American record holder in the marathon. 

In 1976, Rodgers was a member of the U.S. Olympic team that competed in Montreal.  Track & Field News ranked him the number one marathoner in the world on three ocassions. 

Rodgers is a member of the National Track & Field Hall of Fame and the National Distance Running Hall of Fame.  He still operates the Bill Rodgers Running Center in Massachusetts.
