Former LSU Tigers Basketball Coach Dale Brown Keynotes LHSCA Coaches Clinic

One of the greatest coaches in the history of Louisiana addressed some of the top coaches in the state going today.  Former LSU basketball coach Dale Brown spoke on Tuesday at the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Coaches Clinic. 

The clinic was held at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge.  Brown addressed attendees at 10 a.m. and shared some thoughts on coaching. 

Several other coaches from a variety of levels and sports also spoke.  Current LSU football coach Les Miles spoke to those assembled at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Brown was the head coach of the Tigers for 25 years.  Under his watch, they won four regular season championships in the Southeastern Conference. 

In both 1981 and 1986, Brown led LSU to the Final Four.  From 1984-1993, the Tigers made ten consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. 

Brown was a four-time SEC Coach of the Year.  He retired from LSU in 1997 and founded his company, Dale Brown Enterprises.
