Football Icon Rocky Bleier Named Keynote Speaker at 2016 North American Repossessors Summit

As the years go by, Rocky Bleier is one of those names that lives on in football lore.   His successful football career and heroism as a Vietnam War veteran has made him a popular speaker.

Bleier will be the keynote speaker in April at the North American Repossessors Summit in Irving, Texas.  The eight-annual edition of the conference runs April 14-15.

Registration is available at www.reposummit.com.

Bleier’s NFL career was put on hold following his rookie season when the U.S. Army drafted him in 1968 to serve in Vietnam.  He was severely injured during his service time and military doctors did not believe the Purple Heart honoree would play again.

Despite the injury, Bleier persevered and returned to Pittsburgh Steelers training camp a year later.  Through several periods of being waived by the franchise, he never gave up.

Bleier found his way into the Steelers starting lineup in 1974 and went on to win four Super Bowls.  He retired in 1980 and has shared his remarkable story with thousands ever since.
