Florida State Coach Jimbo Fisher Speaks at Northwest Florida All-Sports Banquet

This past Friday, talented high school, college and pro athletes in Northwest Florida got to hear from one of the biggest sports celebrities in the region.  Florida State football coach Jimbo Fisher spoke at the Northwest Florida All-Sports Banquet on Okaloosa Island.

The event handed out over $115,000 in college scholarships.  Coach Fisher enjoyed the opportunity to impact a different group of young people.

Obviously, the opportunity allowed Fisher to connect with a base of people who are mostly loyal FSU supporters.  There certainly could not have been a much more perfect guest to address the crowd.

Fisher has returned the Seminoles to a period of year-in, year-out excellence.  The Noles are 68-14 under his watch with a National Championship and three Atlantic Coast Conference titles to show for their efforts.

FSU has finished the season inside the top 15 for the last four years.  From the 2012 season till the end of the 2014 campaign, they compiled a 29-game winning streak.

Fisher originally joined Florida State as the offensive coordinator and head coach-in-waiting in 2007 before taking over in 2010.  He had previously been an assistant coach at Samford, Auburn, Cincinnati, and LSU.
