ESPN Reporter Lisa Salters Gives Commencement Address at Penn State College of Communications Next Week

ESPN reporter Lisa Salters gets to return to her alma mater this spring. She will be the commencement speaker at Penn State University's College of Communications. 

The event takes place on May 6th at the University Park campus' Bryce Jordan Center. Salters graduated from PSU in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. 

She also played for the Nittany Lions women's basketball team for two seasons. Salters is a Penn State Alumni Fellow and regularly mentors students. 

Salters joined ESPN as a general assignment reporter and she can currently be found on the Monday Night Football sidelines. Since 2005, she has covered the NBA. 

From 2006-2010, Salters was the sideline reporter for ABC's Saturday Night Football coverage. She has been an original correspondent for the newsmagazine show "E:60" since the program launched in 2007. 

Prior to arriving at ESPN, Salters worked out of Los Angeles for ABC News for six years. She got her start in the business as a television reporter in Baltimore, Maryland.
