Derek Jeter Hosts Star-Studded Celebrity Golf Tournament This April to Benefit His Turn 2 Foundation

Even in retirement, former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter has not slowed down.  One of his main missions has been continuing to raise money for and advance his Turn 2 Foundation.

This April, Jeter will be hosting one of the top celebrity golf tournaments around.  The Derek Jeter Celebrity Invitational will take place April 20-23 at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In addition to action on the links, attendees will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with stars during nightly events at the ARIA Resort & Casino.  Since being founded in 1996, The Turn 2 Foundation has raised over $20 million to promote healthy lifestyles for youth.

After a 20-year career, Jeter is one of baseball’s living legends.  The 14-time All-Star won five World Series championships with the Yankees and is considered perhaps the most clutch player in the history of the game.

Jeter spent over a decade as captain in New York and hit .321 in World Series play.  He established franchise records for hits, doubles, games played, and stolen bases.

Jeter also won five Gold Gloves and five Silver Slugger Awards at shortstop.  When he becomes eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame, he is a shoe-in to be selected on the first ballot.
