College Football Legend Tom Osborne Speaks at Lew Hunter Honorary Dinner

Former Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne is still a draw in the state where he led the Cornhuskers to glory.  This Friday, Osborne spoke at the Lew Hunter Honorary Dinner in Fremont, Nebraska.

The dinner was held at Fremont Country Club in conjunction with White Light City Film Festival.  Tickets cost $50 per person or $650 for a table of eight.

Osborne is considered one of the legends of college football after coaching Nebraska for 25 years.  His career record is 255-49-3 and included three national championships.

Tbe Huskers also captured 12 Big Eight titles under Osborne’s watch and he was named the conference’s Coach of the Year six times.  In his final campaign, NU won the Big 12 and the national title.

Osborne went on to an impactful public life, serving three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. Following his foray into politics, he was athletic director at Nebraska from 2007-2013.

In retirement, Osborne makes dozens of speaking appearances each year.  Crowds are able to reminisce along with the iconic coach about the methods that have led him to a lifetime of success.
