Chicago Bulls All-Star Jimmy Butler Hosts Event with Kellogg’s for National School Breakfast Week

Despite having his All-Star season derailed by injury, Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler is still giving back to the community.  Butler has partnered with Kellogg's for National School Breakfast Week.

On Wednesday, he hosted a breakfast event at Chicago Lakeshore Athletic Club.  Butler met with students and emphasized the importance of starting the day with a nutritious meal.

He also hosted a basketball competition.  The winning team squared against Butler and Tony the Tiger to win a $5,000 donation for their school.

Butler is a two-time All-Star who is currently averaging 22.4 points per game.  Last year, he was named the Most Improved Player after averaging over 20 points for the first time in his career.

For the past two years, Butler was named to the All-Defensive second team.  In each of his four NBA seasons, he has helped the Bulls reach the playoffs.

Butler played collegiately for three seasons at Marquette University.  He was a two-time All-Big East honorable mention.
