Baseball Icons Hank Aaron and Bud Selig Headline Barbara Sinatra Center Luncheon

There are not many figures that have had a higher profile in baseball history than Hall of Famer Hank Aaron and former MLB commissioner Bud Selig.  The pair that met around 50 years ago when they were both affiliated with the Milwaukee Braves will team up as keynote speakers at a Bud Sinatra Center benefit in Indian Wells, California.

The luncheon will be held on February 12th at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa.  All proceeds benefit the center that helps abused children.

Tickets cost $125 or $1,250 for a table and can be purchased at www.barbarasinatrachildrenscenter.org

Aaron was baseball’s career home run king for 33 years.  The 25-time All-Star was always a fan favorite and considered one of the classiest competitors the sport has ever known.

Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982, Aaron’s impact has extended far off the diamond.  He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002 and has remained an impactful force in the Atlanta community where he spent the majority of his career.

After appearing as a keynote speaker in 2014, Selig is returning to share tales from his lengthy tenure as commissioner.  He piloted baseball through many changes including the institution of the wild card, interleague play, and extensive drug testing in the sport.

With owners making unprecedented revenues, Selig left the game in a good place upon his retirement earlier this year.  He still serves as Commissioner Emeritus of Baseball.
