About Venus Williams
Venus Wiliams is a trailblazer in the tennis world and one of the greatest performers in the history of the sport. Williams revolutionized the women's game, alongside her sister Serena. Overall, she captured seven Grand Slam singles titles in his career, five at Wimbledon and two at the U.S. Open. Williams is a former world number-one player in both singles and doubles.
Williams originally turned pro in 1994 and reached her first Grand Slam final in singles at the U.S. Open in 1997. In addition to her individual triumphs, the Williams sisters took on the doubles world, winning all 14 Slam finals that they competed in. They also have three Olympic gold medals in doubles. Venus won her first Olympic gold in singles in 2000 and also has a mixed doubles silver from 2016.
Overall, Williams won 49 singles tournaments and 22 doubles tournaments on the WTA Tour. She has also been a successful entrepreneur, product endorser and inspiration for women everywhere.
