About Trey Burton
Trey Burton is a tight end for the Indianapolis Colts.Burton previously spent two years with the Chicago Bears. The Philadelphia Eagles originally signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2014. Burton was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2014 as a special teams player. He became more involved in the offense in 2016 and caught 37 passes for 327 yards. Burton went on to catch five touchdowns during the Eagles 2017 Super Bowl winning season. He stole the show in Super Bowl LII, throwing a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles at the end of the first half.
Before joining the Eagles, Burton was a standout at the University of Florida. He was originally recruited as a quarterback, but became a jack of all trades for at UF. As a freshman, he set a Gators single-game record with six touchdowns. Burton played in 50 games at Florida and collected 720 rushing yards, 976 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.
