About Torey Lovullo
Torey Lovullo is the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was named skipper of the club prior to the 2017 season and has since seen great success. Lovullo guided the Diamondbacks to 93 wins and a postseason appearance in his first year on the bench. The 24-game improvement from the previous season saw him walk away with National League Manager of the Year honors. Prior to becoming Arizona's full-time manager, Lovullo had managerial experience on an interim basis with the Boston Red Sox. He spent time as a coach on John Farrell's staffs with the Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays from 2011-2016. Lovullo was previously a manager in the minor leagues for nine seasons. He was named Manager of the Year in the Carolina League and Eastern League. Lovullo was also Baseball America's Double-A Manager of the Year in 2005. Prior to entering the coaching ranks, he spent parts of eight seasons in major leagues, playing in 303 total games. Lovullo also had a prodigious minor league playing career, seeing action in over 1,000 games. His stint as a player for the Buffalo Bisons netted him two championships and a place in the Buffalo Baseball Hall of Fame.
