About Tony Sparano
Tony Sparano is a coach in the National Football League. Before Tony started his career in coaching he was a player in college at University of New Haven where he was the starting center and a four year letterman. He began coaching in 1984 at his alma mater where he became the offensive line coach. Since that time Tony has worked in numerous different coaching positions at different schools and NFL teams, including in the head coaching position. Arguably his biggest achievement as a head coach came when he became the only coach in NFL history to lead a one win team to the playoffs in the very next season, and he became only the second coach to oversee a ten game turnaround, both of which he accomplished with the Miami Dolphins in his first season with the team. Sparano has since moved on from Miami and is now working as a part of the Oakland Raiders organization.
