About Tim Biakabutuka
Tim Biakabutuka was a star running back both at the University of Michigan and early on in the history of the Carolina Panthers. Biakabutuka originally broke out for the Wolverines in a backup role as a sophomore, gaining 784 yards and notching four 100-yard games. As a junior, he was even better, breaking the Michigan single-season rushing record with 1,818 yards. The Panthers subsequently made him the eighth overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. Injuries forced Biakabutuka to retire in 2001, but he has found success after football as a restaurant franchisee.
