Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry is a legendary soccer star who made his name overseas and in the United States.Originally from France, Henry has had a storied career as a top striker for Arsenal, Barcelona,and now the New York Red Bulls. He got his start in 1994 with Monaco, an Italian Club Team.After a few good years in Italy, Henry became frustrated, and was transferred to Arsenal of theEnglish Premier League in 1999. Henry would have a fantastic career with Arsenal, winningmultiple awards and becoming their top scorer in club history. In 2007, Henry was transferredto Barcelona, a move that shocked the soccer world due to Henry’s immense popularity andsuccess with Arsenal. Henry would start to see his starts wind down due to his age, and he wassold to the New York Red Bulls of the MLS in 2010, leading them to the playoffs in two straightseasons. Henry would return to Arsenal on a short two month loan, but ultimately still plays forNew York to this day. His international career was historic, leading the French National team toa World Cup title in1998, and a runner up finish in 2006. He was also part of the French teamsthat won the UEFA Championships in 2000 and the FIFA Confederations cup in 2003. Althoughhe has retired from international play, Henry still dominates the MLS.
