About Terence Newman
Terence Newman is an NFL cornerback who currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. Newman rose to the national spotlight as a corner at Kansas State University, where he recorded 54 tackles and five interceptions during his senior year in 2002. These stats earned Newman All American and All Big-12 Honors, as he was then drafted fifth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2003 NFL Draft. Newman would start every game during his rookie season, recording 76 tackles and four interceptions. During his ten year tenure with the Cowboys, Newman was a lockdown corner, and was voted to the Pro-Bowl twice. After his release from the Cowboys, Newman signed a short deal with the Cincinnati Bengals, playing well enough to receive another contract prior to the 2013 season. Through 2013, Newman has played 161 games, recording over 500 tackles and 36 interceptions.
