About Tanner Bibee
Tanner Bibee is a right-starting pitcher for Major League Baseball's Cleveland Guardians. Bibee is most notable for his quick ascent up to the big leagues and consistent performance since making his career debut in 2023. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2021 MLB Draft out of Cal State Fullerton. Bibee had an awe-inspiring rookie campaign, posting a 10–4 record and a 2.98 ERA over 25 total starts. This was good enough for runner-up for the American League Rookie of the Year. In 2024, he continued his strong performance with a 12–8 record and 187 strikeouts across 31 starts. Bibee began the 2025 season as Cleveland’s Opening Day starter and recently signed a five-year, $48 million contract extension with a club option for 2030. As of May 2025, he holds a 4–4 record with a 3.57 ERA, including a standout seven-inning shutout against the MLB-leading Detroit Tigers.
