About Stephen Gostkowski
Stephen Gostkowski is a professional placekicker in the NFL While in high school; Gostkowski earned four varsity letters each in football and soccer, and three in baseball. Gostkowski attended the University of Memphis where he was a walk-on for the football team and received an athletic scholarship for baseball. As a junior and senior, Gostkowski earned fist-team All-Conference USA honors. In 2005, Gostkowski was named Conference USA’s Special Teams Player of the Year. He holds the record for the Memphis Tigers record for longest field goal. The New England Patriots selected Gostkowski in the 4th round as the 118th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. So far in his career, Gostkowski has been a 3x Pro Bowl selection, 2x AFC Champion, and 4x NFL season scoring leader. He was also a First-team All-Pro selection and Second-team All-Pro selection. Gostkowski has had 280 field goal attempts in his career; of those he has made 243.
