About Sione Fua
Sione Fua is a professional defensive end for the NFL. Fua did not begin to play football until he was in high school, but he quickly became the varsity’s best twoway lineman. Fua had college offers from Oregon, Brigham Young and California, but he chose Stanford over them all. Fua played for Stanford as a true freshman and played in all 12 games. He missed his sophomore season as he was away on a LDS Church Mission. As a junior, he played in all 12 games and started 7. The Carolina Panthers selected Fua as the 97th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Fua started 11 games for the Panthers before he was placed on injury reserve in December 2011. The Panthers cut Fua on August 31, 2013, but he re-signed with them on September 11, 2013. On November 12, 2013, the Panthers waived him. The Denver Broncos signed Fua on November 27, 2013. During his time with the Broncos, they were AFC Champions. The Cleveland Browns signed Fua on October 14, 2014.
