About Shaun Ellis
Shaun Ellis is a University of Tennessee product out of Anderson, South Carolina and joined the New York Jets in 2000 as a first round pick. Since that time he has developed into one of the finest defensive ends in the National Football League, earning two Pro Bowl selections in 2003 and 2009 and helping the Patriots to an AFC Championship in 2011. Prior to signing with the New England Patriots in 2011 he earned the Ed Block Courage Award for his leadership and community service. During his 11-year NFL career he accumulated 566 tackles to go along with 73.5 career sacks, 13 forced fumbles and one interception. Ellis was one of the most feared defensive ends in the league due to his tenacity and explosiveness off the ball. Throughout his time in the league he was a captain on several of the most successful defenses in the NFL.
