Shane Vereen

Shane Vereen joined the New England Patriots in 2011 as a second round pick out of the University of California where he was a star on both the football and track teams. During three seasons at Cal he rushed for 2,834 yards and 29 touchdowns and caught 74 passes for 674 yards and 6 touchdowns while helping the Bears to a 38-19 overall record. Upon joining the Patriots he signed a four-year contract and became one of Tom Brady’s primary receivers out of the backfield. Thus far in his NFL career he has rushed for 516 yards and 5 touchdowns and also caught 55 passes for 4 touchdowns. In 2011 he helped the Patriots to an AFC Championship and the following year he became the third player in NFL history to score two receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in a postseason game. Vereen is a dynamic player out of the backfield and continues to impress each week on football’s most grand stage.
