Shane Ray Biography

Shane Ray made an unquestioned impact as a pass rusher at the University of Missouri.  With Ray chasing quarterbacks, the Tigers went to back-to-back SEC Championship games.  As a junior, he was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year and set a single-season school record with 14.5 sacks.  Ray was also first-team All-SEC and a consensus All-American.  Coming out of Bishop Miege High School, Rivals.com ranked him as the 17th best weakside defensive end prospect in the Class of 2011.  Ray’s father, Wendell, also played at Missouri and was a fifth round draft pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1981 NFL Draft.
