About Serge Ibaka
Serge Ibaka is a native of Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, and came to the United States to join the Seattle Sonics in 2008 as a first-round pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Ibaka was one of the original pieces that helped make the Oklahoma City Thunder a contender once the Sonics franchise relocated there in his second season. Ibaka became a three-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection in OKA. He also led the league in blocks twice. During this time, he picked up an Olympic silver medal with Spain in the 2012 Olympics.
In 2016, Ibaka was traded to the Orlando Magic. A year, later, he moved on to the Toronto Raptors and helped them win their first NBA championship in 2019. Ibaka subsequently joined the Los Angeles Clippers before being traded to the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks in 2022. He was traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2023.
