Samuel George Shields III, often known as Sam, currently represents number 37 as a professional cornerback for the Green Bay Packers. Shields joined the National Football League in 2010. Prior to his professional debut, he was a Florida native born in Sarasota in 1987. Shields excelled at football, baseball, and track throughout his high school years. At the time of his high school graduation, he was ranked the 17th best receiver in the country and one of the state’s top sprinters.
