Sam Bradford Biography

Sam Bradford is a football legend in his home state of Oklahoma. Despite not being highly recruited, Bradford rewrote the record books in college at the University of Oklahoma. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2008, leading the Sooners to the BCS National Championship Game, throwing 50 touchdowns and 4,720 passing yards. 

Bradford was just the second sophomore to ever win the Heisman. After his junior year, he was the top overall pick in the NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Bradford subsequently set a record for the most completions by a first-year player in NFL history and was named Offensive Player of the Year. 

Bradford spent the first five seasons of his career with the Rams before he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he set career highs in completion percentage and passing yards. He then led the NFL in completion percentage in 2016 with the Minnesota Vikings. After a second year with the Vikings, Bradford spent one more season with the Arizona Cardinals before retiring. 

Bradford is a proud member of Cherokee Nation and was inducted into the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame.
