About Ryan Warsofsky
Ryan Warsofsky is a former defenseman who is currently serving as head coach of the San Jose Sharks. He enjoyed a modest playing career before transitioning to coaching. He gained prominence leading the AHL's Chicago Wolves to a Calder Cup title in 2022, becoming one of the youngest coaches to achieve such success. Joining the Sharks as an assistant in 2022-23, he was promoted to head coach for the 2024-25 season, making him the youngest bench boss in the NHL at the time. He also coached the U.S. Men's National Team at the 2025 IIHF World Championship. He is instrumental in helping guide the Sharks' young core through their rebuild.
