About Russell Maryland
Russell Maryland was a pillar on defense for a Dallas Cowboys team that won three Super Bowls in the 1990s. Maryland was the first overall pick of the Cowboys in the 1991 NFL Draft after starring as an Outland Award winner, two-time National Champion and All-American at the University of Miami. He was a starter from his rookie season onward with Dallas and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1993. Overall, Maryland had a ten-year career and finished with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.
