About Roman Harper
Roman Harper accepted a scholarship to the University of Alabama to play strong safety for the Clemson Tide football team. He played moderately as a true freshman and went on to be a three year starter after that. He finished his college career with 305 tackles and as a senior was a first-team All-SEC selection. Harper was drafted in 2006 by the New Orleans Saints and became a starter in his second season after he was injured in his first season. In 2009, Harper had a Pro-Bowl worthy season on his way to helping the Saints to a victory in Super Bowl XLIV. Harper was signed by the Carolina Panthers for the 2014 season, becoming a starter right away. His mother helped him start the Harpers Hope Foundation to promote healthy family relationships.
