About Rich Brooks
Rich Brooks is a retired football player and coach. Rich got his start in the game as a player for Oregon State University. After graduating in 1963 he got his position in coaching as an assistant for his alma mater. From 1963 to 1976 Rich was an assistant coach, in a position where he could learn the ins and outs of the game and prepare to become a head coach. His first chance at being a head coach came at Oregon in 1977. While at Oregon he led the team to a Pac 10 Championship and he himself received numerous honors including the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award, the Sporting News College Football Coach of the Year and the Paul Bear Bryant Award. Since his success at Oregon, Rich has gone on to coach for the Kentucky Wildcats football program and for the St Louis Rams in the NFL.
