Odafe Oweh

The Baltimore Ravens employ Odafe Oweh as their dynamic linebacker who showcases explosive athletic ability while maintaining constant pressure on quarterbacks. Oweh was born on December 15, 1998, in Hackensack, New Jersey, and he attended Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey, to play in the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game. He chose to play college football for the Nittany Lions at Penn State University after his high school commitment. The Baltimore Ravens selected Oweh with their first-round pick (31st overall) during the 2021 NFL Draft after he declared for the draft following his redshirt sophomore year.

Oweh started his rookie season with a strong performance by recording five sacks and three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. The PFWA All-Rookie Team selected him and he received AFC Defensive Player of the Week recognition during Week 2. Oweh achieved his best season in 2024 when he accumulated 10 sacks and added one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries to his statistics. His ability to disrupt opponents while showing versatility has established him as a vital defensive asset for the Ravens.

Oweh maintains a strong connection to his Nigerian heritage while dedicating himself to community service activities. Through the Dafe Oweh Family Fund for Africa he established a nonprofit organization which provides resources and mentorship to young students athletes and entrepreneurs.
