About Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace is an NFL wide receiver currently playing for the Miami Dolphins. Wallace, a University of Mississippi alum, was selected in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wallace is widely known for his gifted acceleration and speed  while running deep routes as a receiver, recording a 4.33 at the 2009 NFL Scouting Combine (second-highest) in the 40-yard dash. He led the NFL in his rookie season in 2009 with 19.4 average yards per reception and followed that up in his sophomore season by averaging 21.0 yards per reception in 2010 —the most of any AFC receiver that year and just shy of becoming the third receiver in NFL history to lead the league in yards per reception in each of their first two seasons.

In 2011, Wallace was selected to his first Pro Bowl and started at wide receiver for the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, recording 89 yards on nine catches and a touchdown. During the 2013 offseason, Wallace became a free agent and accepted a six-year long-term contract with the Miami Dolphins.
