About Mike Bragg
Mike Bragg is arguably the greatest punter in Washington Redskins history. Bragg spent 12 of his 13 NFL seasons playing for the franchise. He holds career and single-season Redskins records for most punts. In 1976, Bragg landed a team-best 29 punts inside the 20-yard line. One of the other highlights of his career was being a part of the 1972 NFC Championship squad. He was named to the list of 70 Greatest Redskins in 2002 and is the only punter represented. Washington originally selected Bragg in the fifth round of the 1968 NFL Draft out of the University of Richmond. After a season with the Baltimore Colts, he retired from football in 1980. In retirement, Bragg worked as a youth sports coach and financial planner.
